Are you reading between the lines?

Count every “F” in the following text:

FINISHED FILES ARE THE RE
SULT OF YEARS OF SCIENTI
FIC STUDY COMBINED WITH
THE EXPERIENCE OF YEARS.

How many “Fs” are there?  Are you sure?  Did you count 6 because that is how many there are — no joke.

Read it again! Really, go back and try to find the 6 “Fs” before you scroll down.

The reason behind this is that the brain cannot process “OF.”  Incredible, huh?  Go back and

look again!  Anyone who counts all 6 “Fs” on the first go is a genius.  Three is normal, four is quite rare.

What is my point?  There is a lot of junk and over hyped information/programs out there….and if you don’t read carefully you will be taken.

Not only will you lose your money but you will lose your precious time.  Here are a couple tips that will save you money:

#1 – Don’t buy on emotion.  Hard sales and upselling are part of the business, but if it something you cannot use, it’s not worth any investment.

#2 – Find a mentor – Jim Cockrum, John Thornhill, Brad Callen, Frank Kern and Ed Dale come to mind.  IMReportCard.com is a good resource.

#3 – Read the fine print – Just like the hidden Fs above, there may be an extra charge, usually in the form of a membership.  This is not always a bad thing,  just something you need to be aware of.

#4 – Commit to one product, finish reading,  and then implementing it’s business model.  Then move on to the next one.

I hope these tips help.  I know they are common sense but trust me, they will save you big bucks in the end.

Having been sucked into the front end sales funnel of many a sales
master.
I take on board what you say very seriously
I totally agree get yourself a mentor instead of wasting money and precious time on products that stay on your hard drive forever without you even knowing were you have put them.
cheers mick

Boy is this all so true. I agree with Mick, and had to opt out of most of those guru sales funnels.

Hi Edward,

Some sound advice there.

Perhaps we can pass this on to more newbies so that they don’t go down the (expensive) road that most of us have.

It has taken me some time to find out who are the honest people out there, some of which you mentioned.

#4 makes a lot of sense to me.

Edward-
This post hits home. I sometimes think I am an information junkie, and I have a hard time keeping my finger off the “Buy Now” button.

In fact, I have been knocking around the idea of purchasing another course now for the past 3 days. Today I almost pulled the trigger!

Just curious…. which program?

Evan Beck December 6, 2009 at 8:37 PM

Adam Short’s Niche Profits Classroom. It’s a membership program that actually fits the original business model I was always interested in, but this program was not around at the time.

I think it’s been around for about 6 months. Have you heard of it?

I have heard of it. I am a member. Notice the banner to the right —->. I have learned a lot and with the monthly niche program you can’t lose. There is so much content, it is difficult to keep up to date. But if your in the niche/niche marketing field this is the program for you… Hope this helps.

Geez…I did not even see that banner ad, but I am already cookied for sure. I am glad to hear you think it is a worthy program.

I am going to sleep on it, and take the leap tomorrow then. Maybe we can swap some notes.
